Happy Birthday Melissa

 If you're wondering what 39 looks like.....

This is it. You have dinner at your mother's house (take out from Shake Shack) and maneuver around 4 kids.

One of my goals for this year is to take more pictures, or rather not to forget to take pictures.

You know when you're a mother of 4 when party games consist of giant legos and putting together puzzles.

And what's a party at Ma's house without a list of chores for Jamie. My list for Jamie was quite long but he conveniently forgot to bring his drill. So only the small chores got finished. What a way to celebrate your birthday. Happy Birthday Melissa!

One Week Old Goldie

Goldie has been home for a week and totally survived Violet, Lincoln and Hazel.

It's been a little hectic at the Taylor house but thankfully Violet hasn't lost her interest and still sits on the couch for hours holding Goldie. 

Uncle Michael for the 4th Time

With the weather still cooperating, Michael and I decided to go to Melissa's so he could meet Baby Goldie. I still remember when it was Baby Violet.

Michael was a little hesitant to hold her too long since the first time he held Violet there was a little blowout in the poop department!

The Kids Meet Goldie

Melissa is such a nervous mother and wanted to get home to her kids as soon as possible. So she persuaded the doctor to let her go home the day after Goldie was born. I might have taken the extra time alone but "alone" is not a word used in most hospitals. It's mostly nurses and such coming in every few minutes to check on things so going home was probably the best option.

All the kids loved baby Goldie and took turns holding her. There might have been a few fights as to whose turn it was. But mostly it was Violet who spent hours just sitting on the couch holding her. Now we all sit back and watch Melissa and Jamie try to handle 4 kids! 

Goldie Celine Taylor

I was up at 4:00 this morning in order to be at Melissa's by 5:00 so she could get to the hospital to have baby number 4.

After dropping the kids off at school I was extremely hungry so I took Hazel to Sonic. I wasn't sure what she would eat for breakfast but her choice was French fries. Anything to keep her happy.

At 11:15, Melissa sent me a pic of our new baby girl. Boy she has kids fast.

Trish came over to help with Hazel. Hazel hasn't been away from Melissa for any length of time so the extra help was a great distraction.

Jamie came home around dinner time and I got my chance to hold the baby. With all the Covid restrictions, it was kind of nice to spend time alone with just Melissa and the baby.

Meet Goldie Celine Taylor. I know kids change every day but I swear as I sat there holding her, I had the feeling it was 38 years ago and I was holding baby Melissa.
