Father's Day

I can't let this day go by without recognizing Jamie for being a great Dad.
It's not every man who can survive in a house with 4 kids. Oh, wait! My Dad did that!!! Happy Father's Day Jamie!

Chiefs Cheer Camp

Violet is getting involved in not only volleyball like her mother but cheerleading like me.
She attended a Chiefs cheer camp and will be performing at the August 26th preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. Looking at this picture, I'm not sure if these are other participants or the cheerleaders themselves. They all look so young!

Michael's Birthday Dinner

When your kids don't work a regular 9 to 5, Monday through Friday job, it can be difficult finding a time to celebrate birthdays and holidays.

Tonight we all gathered to celebrate Michael's 42nd birthday. I don't know who's feeling their age more......me, Michael or Melissa. Happy Birthday Michael!

Disney Twins????

The Taylors are currently in Disney World and Melissa posted a picture of Goldie.
It got me thinking of a photo taken of Violet when we went to Disney when she was about the same age as Goldie. I think it's funny they're wearing the exact same outfit. While they may not be twins, you can definitely tell they're sisters.

Power Washing the House

When I first bought my house, the builder did a power washing before they turned it over to me. Since then all the other houses up the street have been built sending loads of dust flying over my new house.
So Teresa volunteered to bring her power washer over and power wash the house again. Even though there wasn't that much dirt on the house, it still made me feel better knowing it was clean. At least the windows are now sparkling clean (with a few streaks that can only be seen when the sun shines through)!

Early Birthday Top Golf

With Michael having to work on his birthday, I decided to take him for a few games of Top Golf.

Top Golf is a little different than regular golf. Instead of Par 5's and Par 3's, you hit the ball near targets to see who gets the higher score.

While Michael may be able to smack the heck out of a golf ball, I was able to come closest to the targets and beat him 2 out of 3 games. Since it was his birthday should I have let him win? Please, he's going to be 42 not 2!
