I think I've been banned from Sky Zone. Sky Zone is a local indoor trampoline park.
Today was toddler time where they only let the little kids jump and an adult can jump with them. I must have been out of my mind when I volunteered to jump with Violet. I was jumping hand in hand with Violet when the Sky Zone police told me that wasn't allowed. He wasn't so worried about Violet as he was for me hurting myself. But when I went down, Violet flew through the air.
Violet learned how to jump up, then down on her booty, then back to her feet. She was so proud she wanted to send the video to her Daddy so he could see.
Lincoln finally got brave and ventured out into the foam pit.
Violet is crying because she slipped while chasing after the bubbles from the bubble machine. Not such a great activity to have with small children running around on a concrete surface. In my head, I'm only 30 but tonight my body is reminding me just how old I am. Thank goodness for muscles relaxers.

Reindeer Looking for Santa
As I walked past my window tonight I noticed these deer in my yard.
I sent a picture to Violet. She called and asked me if they were Santa's reindeer. I told her maybe Santa left another present for her. I guess I'm going shopping!

Ashley's New Afghan
Ashley and Michael remodeled their living room and I noticed Ashley didn't have an afghan to go along with the new decor.
So out came my crochet hook. The colors are coral, teal, mint green, purple, grey and off white. Gives her something to cuddle up with while studying for those nursing exams.

New Year Resolutions
I try every year to make resolutions and keep them but I usually fail within the first month.
This year I saw this app on Facebook but I'm not sure whether I need to make these events happen or if this is a premonition. January shows a wedding. Obviously I'm not getting married and I haven't been invited to a wedding so my January prediction is a bust. I'm going to track these events each month and see if they come true. I can't wait for March. I hope it's a lot of money.

New Year's Day
I started the new year updating my family portrait wall.
There's my graduation picture, Michael and Melissa's one year old and high school graduation pictures, Melissa and Jamie's engagement picture, Michael and Ashley's wedding picture. Violet's 18 month old picture was so much cuter than her one year old picture so I cheated just a bit. And then there's Lincoln's one year old picture. It's hard not to add more pictures commemorating other events, but that's what my blog is for. At least when I keep up with it.
Then I headed over to help Violet decorate and plant her fairy garden. My artistry skills are not even close to Violet's. But she let me paint the dish while she painted the mushrooms and other figures in the garden. Hopefully the seeds we planted will grow. Then Violet can put the magic fairy dust on them. I told Melissa if nothing grows, to go to the store and buy small plants and plant them while Violet was sleeping.

New Year's Eve
I'm not crazy about going out on New Year's Eve. So I spent the evening at home.
But over at the Taylor house, a small New Year's celebration was going on. It didn't matter that it was only 6:30. Happy New Year! May 2017 be the best ever - or at least a little more exciting.

Merry Christmas
When you have kids who don't work regular 9-5 jobs, it's hard to schedule a time to have a Christmas dinner. So this year I opted for a Christmas brunch.
Before I began preparing my brunch, I snapped a quick pic of me by the tree using my coveted selfie stick.
Then when everyone began arriving, I started annoying everyone taking more selfies. Me and Karen with her traditional Christmas Chiefs clothes.
Violet would have preferred to open presents before eating.
Dad trying to enjoy his breakfast.
Jamie cooperating even though he wanted to eat.
Michael who's always ready to have his picture taken.
My best shot of a family picture.
Lincoln not really caring about pictures.
I don't often have the opportunity to get a picture of Michael and Melissa together. Thankfully Karen snapped a few shots for me.
Lincoln wasn't quite sure about opening his present.
And Violet was really proud of her Secret Life of Pets pajamas - at least I think that's what this is. It was cute, it was pajamas, so I bought it. Even though everyone was gone by noon, we still had a great Christmas.
